We need to be fully prepared on February 16th, have all our facts and PVCs to ensure we vote to get Nigeria working again.

NAIJAsurf Wears

Here are 7 simple steps on how to VOTE this 2019. 7 Steps to a BETTER Life 2019

Step 1: Queue Calmly

Get to the polling unit, join the queue and present yourself to the INEC official (APO111) at the polling who will confirm you are at the right one.

This may be obvious but  please make sure your photograph on the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) matches your face.

Step 2: Identity Confirmation

Next you will be passed on to another official, (APO1) will request for your PVC to confirm that your card is genuine and your details, using the smart card reader. He/she will ask you to place your finger on the card reader to confirm the PVC.

Step 3: Voters Registration Confirmation

You will then meet the next official (APO11) who will request for your PVC to confirm that your name and details are in the voters register. He/ she will then apply indelible ink to the cuticle of your appropriate finger to show you have been accredited to vote.

Step 4: Stamp And Date Approval

The presiding officer (PO) stamps, signs and endorses the date at the back of the Ballot Paper. They will roll the ballot paper inwardly and then will then direct you to the voting cubicle where you vote in secret.

Step 5: VOTE

You will stain your appropriate finger for the with the ink provided then use your stained finger to mark the space or box provided on the ballot paper for your preferred candidate/party. Roll the marked ballot paper inwardly.

Step 6: Cast Your Vote

Then leave the voting cubicle and drop the ballot paper in the ballot box in full view of people at the polling unit.

Step 7: Stay And Count Your Votes

After voting, you remain, so your votes are counted and declared, before you can leave.

PLEASE NOTE: The Result Of Each Polling Unit Shall Be Pasted At The Unit And For Everyone To See.

Ministerial nominees: Why Senate must return list to Buhari – PDP in Diaspora

ministerial nominees: why senate must return list to buhari – pdp in diaspora Ministerial nominees: Why Senate must return list to Buhari – PDP in Diaspora buhari worried 1024x576

A US-based organization comprising members of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, known as PDP Diaspora Initiative has called on the Senate to return the ministerial list back to President Muhammadu Buhari on the ground that it is lacking in vision and ambition for the nation.

NAIJAsurf Wears

President Buhari had on Tuesday submitted a list of 43 nominees to the Senate for screening and approval.

A statement made available to DAILY POST on Thursday by the National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Chidi Igwe, the organization said that the list of candidates submitted to the Senate for screening and confirmation betrays the future of Nigeria and has nothing to offer to the nation in the form of change.

The statement added, “In other countries like Canada, France and the United States, women and youth are fully involved in government because they represent the future of the country.

“Why is President Buhari not nominating young people who represent the future of Nigeria? Why is APC robbing Nigeria’s youth of their future?”

The PDP group referred to President Buhari’s previous comments at the Commonwealth Business Forum in London where he allegedly described the Nigerian youth as “lazy and uneducated.”

“Why is the President not including more women in his cabinet?”

The statement also referred to President Buhari’s previous public comment in Germany where he said that the First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari belonged in the “kitchen” and “the other room.”

“Why are they recycling these tired APC politicians who have no new ideas to offer and have participated in establishing a culture of corruption and impunity in Nigeria?” Hon. Pamugo asked.

“President Buhari has chosen to recycle these politicians who have been there for too long and have participated in driving the country into the ditch, instead of giving a chance to capable Nigerians who will represent change,”

The statement further referred to the fact that the nominees are a bunch of men, former governors, ministers and APC politicians who have contributed in creating the current problems facing the country.

It added, “Nigerians are suffering from East to West, North to South as a result of lack of vision and leadership from these same APC politicians.

“People have no jobs, no food and no good water to drink.

“There is no reliable power supply for businesses to come and invest in the country. There are no good hospitals, no good public schools.

“We have no good roads. Nigerians are hungry for change. Is this the best that the President can offer to a nation that desperately needs a significant change in direction? As Nigerians in diaspora, we are highly disappointed by this list of recycled APC politicians.

“This list is shortsighted and we reject it. We enjoin the Senate to return it to the President so that he can provide a new list of nominees that will represent the hopes and aspirations of all Nigerians.”
