The Chairman of the 8th National Assembly and the President, Senator Bukola Saraki has frantically told President Muhammadu Buhari will be no-go area for his All Progressives (APC) as we draw closer to the presidential billed to hold this Saturday.Saraki said this while addressing a crowd of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters at a campaign rally at Afon, Asa local government area of the state.  The Senate President said that the fact that he was the focus of verbal attacks by APC leaders at their rally in Ilorin only justified his position that the party had nothing concrete to Nigerians. He also restated his earlier argument that the APC has nothing to offer the people of Kwara state — describing the party in the state as merely a conglomerate of greedy politicians. He called on the electorate to use the first set of elections to teach the APC a lesson to show them that the state will never be subjected to taking orders from Lagos. He said: “Saturday’s election is all about Nigeria. The polls is also about Kwara. When I first said this many wondered — but when Buhari came yesterday you all saw what happened.“They spent the entire day abusing me because they have no plan for us here in Kwara except to abuse Saraki. That is unlike the PDP that trusts us and have assured us of a better Nigeria for all Nigerians.

“PDP is the only party today with an active plan for development, creation and youth employment. They also have great regard for us in Kwara.Let’s use the Saturday election to teach APC a lesson that Kwara belongs to Kwarans and we will never take orders from Lagos. Kwara is a no go area for them, let’s tell them with our votes. The APC is made up of people who enjoyed your votes because we asked you to vote for them even when you didn’t know them but out of greed they are out of our fold. The second group is made up mainly of rebels who have nothing to offer but just to antagonise Saraki after they had benefitted immensely from our political structure.

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday took his campaign to Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, declaring his administration’s commitment to food security and adequate protection of lives and property in the country. He told the electorate that his government has also delivered on its war against corruption, which were the major promises of his administration in 2015.

This was because the main opposition party in the state and its candidate in the election, Senator Ademola Adeleke kicked against the result of the election and dragged the ruling All Progressives and its governorship candidate, Ggoyega Oyetola to court.
The Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja has dismissed the separate objections filed by the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, as well as the Independent National Electoral Commission against the petition challenging their victory at the September 2018 election.
The Peoples Democratic Party and its governorship candidate in the election had filed the petition urging the tribunal to declare that he polled the highest lawful votes and should be declared the winner.
But Oyetola, APC and INEC  had filed their notices of preliminary objection contending among others that the petition was incompetent and that the court lacked jurisdiction.

Delivering the‎ lead ruling of the three-man tribunal, Justice Peter Obi, held that the objections were misconceived and struck them out.

Speaking with TheCable at his Ede residenceearlier on Thursday, the PDP candidate accused INEC of conspiring with the ruling party to thwart the will of the people. He said the state was under siege during the rerun, lamenting the attack on his supporters.
“This is not a free and fair election. Osun state is under siege; we are at war in Osun. They didn’t allow my party to vote,” he said. It’s only APC people they allowed to vote. INEC and security agents have compromised. So, there is no election in Osun today. I urge INEC to cancel the election with immediate effect and declare me the winner because I’ve already won the election. ”

We have records to show how Buhari, APC rigged presidential election – Buba Galadima

Published

Buba Galadima, Spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation, has revealed how the incumbent government allegedly rigged last month’s presidential to retain its grip on power.

Galadima, an estranged ally of incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, accused the All Progressives (APC)-led federal government of using the military to intimidate voters and inflate election results in its favour.

He spoke on Wednesday while appearing as a guest on Channels TV’s breakfast show, Sunrise Daily.

Galadima said the events in Rivers State were evidence of the intimidation.

“It is not an accusation, the military are good candidates of the International Criminal Court. I saw it on television where they were going to houses killing people,” the Atiku spokesperson said.

He claimed that records are available to show that Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, won the presidential election.

“They said they won and want to go to court to inspect the election materials, that is clearly to show they rigged the election.

“I am speaking with authority and I can defend it in the court of law. Have you ever heard that a respondent went to court to check the results of an election because he was not sure his agents did the right thing?” he said.
