The Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has revealed that God told him who will become ’s next president.

According to Dino, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, will become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Melaye said it was a revelation from God that Atiku will emerge winner of this Saturday’s presidential ahead of the candidate of the All Progressives , APC, President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said this while speaking at the 84th emergency meeting of the PDP National Executive Council (NEC) on Tuesday in Abuja.

COVID-19: Yahaya Bello must apologize to Kogi people for deceiving them – PDP Yahaya Bello 6

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has advised the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, to apologize to people of the state for misleading them on COVID-19 pandemic.

Recall that the Kogi State government had in May insisted that no resident tested positive for COVID-19 in the state.

The state, however, recorded its index case last week and this led to the declaration of a total lockdown in Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of the state be the governor.

Reacting to lockdown, PDP said Bello should apologize for not allowing people of the state to be tested.

The party in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said Bello should apologize because he failed to provide the needed leadership since the pandemic started.

Ologbondiyan said the governor needs to “apologize for mounting his treadmill and shadow boxing with COVID-19 when he was expected to lead the campaign against the pandemic.”

He disclosed that the governor did not “show the required seriousness in leadership in the fight against the pandemic in the state,” adding that as a governor, he ought to apologize for also not funding even the committee he set up to fight the pandemic and for not providing palliatives to the people as done in other states.

Edo election: Obaseki speaks on Oshiomhole, Ize-Iyamu after meeting with Buhari obaseki

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, says he is upbeat about the forthcoming governorship primary of the All Progressives (APC).

The ruling party had fixed June 22 for the exercise.

On Monday, the APC adopted direct primary.

Also today, Obaseki presented his Expression of Interest Forms to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

After the meeting, he spoke to State House correspondents about the , his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole, and his rival, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

The governor said he visited the president to formally inform him and solicit his support.

Obaseki disclosed that Buhari was welcoming when he showed him his forms.

“He looked through it and teased me that he will not have to go through this again, he wished me good luck and assured me his support.”

Obaseki stated that the APC crisis in the state “is not from Edo but from outside. The person I am contesting against (Ize-Iyamu) is not in Edo, he is in Abuja.

On Oshiomhole, APC National Chairman, Obaseki said the former governor took his current position because he was not properly guided.

He assured that he will continue to pursue peace for the sake and interest of Edo people.

Confirming that the relationship is still frosty, Obaseki said he was doing his best “to try and make it warm just for the sake of Edo people. Whatever it will take to have peace, whatever it will take not to lose lives in Edo, I am committed to.”

Obaseki added that he has the endorsement of APC Governors.

He said all of them had decided and agreed that “when you have an incumbent governor particularly if he is doing well, they should run around and support him. It is a common practice all over the world”.
