The Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas (NUPENG) on Saturday called on Nigerians to stop panic buying of petrol and diesel as there was enough of the products in circulation.

Mr. Tayo Aboyeji, the NUPENG South West Chairman, made the call in an with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in .

“Nigerians should stop spreading and listening to rumours of government removing fuel subsidy and increasing pump price of fuel.

“We are not aware of such move, there is enough fuel in circulation and no increase have been made so far, ” Aboyeji said.

The NUPENG boss cautioned Nigerians of the impeding dangers of storing and stock piling fuel at homes and shops, especially during this hot weather.

“Careless storage of fuel can lead to fire disaster both in the or in the car,” Aboyeji added.

NAN reports that some few gas stations are not selling fuel while the few ones selling are witnessing long queue of vehicles and jerry cans in Lagos and other parts of the country.

Despite the long queues, however, transport fares in most parts of Lagos state remain the same.

BREAKING: Curfew now 10pm to 6am in Lagos -Govt

The State Government has announced a further relaxation of the curfew imposed on the state .
“ The curfew will now be from 10 pm till 6 am , ” a statement from the Commissioner for Information and Strategy , Gbenga Omotoso added .
“ Governor Babajide Sanwo – Olu praises Lagosians for observing the curfew , which is expected to restore normalcy in our communities . He urges all Lagosians to go about their businesses in peace , even as they shun ‘ actions that can threaten our unity ’ .
“ The Governor advises purveyors of fake news to stop causing disaffection among Lagosians , who are well known for being peace – loving and friendly , ” the statement said . .

ONDO ELECTION: Jegede drags Akeredolu to tribunal

The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the October 10 election in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede has challenged the victory of Govenor Rotimi Akeredolu at the Election petition tribunal.
Joined in the petition are the Independent National Electoral Commission, the All Progressives Congress and the Deputy Governor- elect, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Ifedayo Adedipe SAN is the lead counsel for the Governorship candidate of the PDP.
Jegede is challenging the election on four grounds which include that the election was married by irregularities and pockets of violence and intimidation.
Jegede also faulted the emergence of Akeredolu during Party’s primaries.

Meanwhile, Jegede in a terse statement signed by him said ” ln the last 19 days I have been silent, today we break that silence in obedience to the provisions of our laws.
