Results for UTME – Monitoring Thread

NAIJAsurf Wears

We expect the release of 2019 UTME results to begin any moment soon. If you want to know if the 2019 JAMB Result for your day or schedule has been released, this is the right thread to check. The 2019 UTME results for each day of the exam should be available 2 to 3 days after the exams have been taken as it was last year.

This thread will help us monitor the release status of various results for different days. Obviously, JAMB will not announce every time they release a batch of results, so this will be the best avenue to know when the results  have been released.

Below are dates for each of the days and the status of the results;

11th April Results – No Results Yet
12th April Results – No Results Yet
13th April Results – No Results Yet
15th April Results – No Results Yet
16th April Results – No Results Yet
17th April Results – No Results Yet
18th April Results – No Results Yet

When you see “No Results Yet”, it means the results for that day have not yet been released and have not been confirmed by any candidate.

But when you see “Results are Out”, it means the results have been released by JAMB and it has been confirmed by several candidates. But don’t forget that JAMB may also be releasing the results of a particular day in batches or after Malpractice Investigation is completed for particular centres.

We will be updating the above STATUS  based on official announcement from JAMB or verified via candidates comments.

So please, feel free to let us know if your result has been released by JAMB, and WHAT DAY YOU WROTE, so we can update the status above.

All candidates are advised to check the comment section of this thread regularly to know when their results have been released.

NYSC: Six fake corps members arrested in Katsina NYSC: Six fake corps members arrested in Katsina arrest 1 1024x602

Six suspected fake youth corps members have been arrested at the ongoing registration for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exercise at the Katsina State orientation camp.

NAIJAsurf Wears

The state NYSC Coordinator, Alhaji Ahidjo Yahaya, who confirmed this in a statement to NAN in Katsina, said the suspects were caught with forged call-up letters and fake degree certificates.

According to him, the suspects were female while the other four were male.

He added that two of the suspects were caught through intelligence report received from the office of the NYSC Director-General, Brig.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim.

“I got security report from the DG that two ladies were carrying fake certificates.

“Base on that, we set out security network to trap them and they were arrested.

“The two suspects had confessed to the offence,” he said.

According to him, the other four suspects were detected during the camp registration exercise of corps members deployed to the state under Batch B Stream II.

Yahaya said that all the suspects would be arraigned in the camp court from where they will be decamped and handed over to the police for prosecution.

“Before the opening of the orientation camps, the DG issued series of warnings to members of the public not to go the NYSC camp with fake results.

“But these people ignored the warning and decided to come to the camp with fake degree results. What a shame!” he said.

Why we’re starting strike soon – Lecturers

Why we’re starting strike soon – Lecturers Why we’re starting strike soon – Lecturers download 64

President of Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union, COEASU, Mr. Nuhu Ogirima, on Friday, disclosed that the union may soon commence another strike action to press home its demands from the Federal Government.

NAIJAsurf Wears

Ogirima made the disclosure in an interview with reporters in Abuja on Friday while commenting on the five-day warning strike by the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU).

According to him, COEASU may have no option than to down tools, due to FG’s failure to fulfill the promise made to the union, which prompted it to suspend the strike action embarked upon for over two months in December last year.

“We are also warming up now to embark on strike. The Federal Government has acceded to the demands of the universities at the expense of another sister sector.

“What we require is just about one-tenth of what the universities require. But the federal government left us out completely, refusing to attend to the resolutions we had.

“They promise to release funds in December, they have abandoned that. And now they have even listened to NASU and SSANU, in addition to what they have done for their academic staff, ASUU. In our own case, they have not done anything about it.

“It is unfortunate because they choose to attend to the elitist institution. They left us out because nobody wants to be a teacher; we don’t have the children of ministers, traditional rulers and the ambassadors in our system. That is why it is so neglected.

“And this is destroying our education foundational system. The future of the education industry is clearly the colleges of education. If we do not have colleges of education, what happens to the education of our youths, of our young ones?” Ogirima asked.

The COEASU helmsman said the union has been holdings meetings which, according to him, would continue next week and a final decision to be taken after due consultation with members.

He said: “We are consulting with our people towards the possibility of another strike action because the promise of N15b made, nothing has been done about that. There is another N2.5b. The N2.5b is about the peculiar academic allowances. That of universities is earned academic allowances. Our own is peculiar academic allowances. And it is just N2.5b that is outstanding now for 2018. That of 2017 is not up to that and they have not done anything about it too.”

On the reappointment of Mallam Adamu Adamu as Minister of Education, Ogirima described it as a welcome development, hoping that he would work hard this time around to find ways of offering solutions to the plethora of challenges confronting the education sector.
