Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reckons Manchester United have been linked with “about 250 players” – but has insisted he will have the final say on any player the club signs this summer. United are hoping to soon announce the man they want as sporting director, with the club having held talks with Rio Ferdinand this week, amid three four key reasons why United think he’d be a good option for them.
The remit of the new man will be to work on bringing in the best talents to Manchester United, with many questionable acquisitions made since Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down in summer 2013.

The latest name linked with United is Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, with Saturday’s papers claiming a formal approach had been made for the £47m-rated striker. Solskjaer said on Friday that agents of many top players have contacted him to say playing for the club remains an attractive option.

“That’s just the lure of Man United because (players) know, with the potential here, the size of the club, that we will in the end get back to good days.”
