A woman is most likely to get pregnant seven to 10 days after her period ends, notes WebMD. This is the time period when ovulation typically occurs. However, this time period can vary.

The Menstrual Cycle
A woman’s cycle starts on the first day of her period. For most women, ovulation occurs two weeks into the cycle. However, that can vary. Women can ovulate anywhere from 11 to 21 days into the cycle. It’s important for women trying to conceive to keep a diary of their cycle. This will help them get to know their cycle.

Getting Pregnant
A woman can get pregnant, even if intercourse occurs before ovulation. This is because sperm can live in a female’s Fallopian tubes for up to seven days. This means the sperm can fertilize an egg several days after intercourse. It is important to remember that even though there are days that pregnancy is more likely, pregnancy can occur anytime with unprotected sex.

Factors Affecting Pregnancy
There are several factors that can affect a woman’s chances of getting pregnant, states WebMD.

  • Age: The older a woman, the lower the chances. After age 30, a woman’s chances of conceiving decline. After age 40, women experience a sharp decline. However, it is still possible to get pregnant after 40.
  • Irregular periods: For women who have irregular cycles, it can be hard to determine ovulation. That is because ovulation may not occur at the same time each month.
  • Medical conditions: Certain medical conditions or illnesses can affect pregnancy. If a woman has concerns about her medical history, she should talk with a doctor before trying to conceive.

How to Increase Pregnancy Chances
There are things couples can do to increase their odds of getting pregnant, notes WebMD.

  • Frequent intercourse: Many couples will time sex with ovulation. However, it is recommended that couples have intercourse more than just on ovulation days. Some experts say couples should have intercourse every other day to increase their chances of conceiving. However, if it is suspected that the male has a low sperm count, talk with a doctor first.
  • Stay in bed: Right after intercourse, stay in bed for about 15 minutes. This can increase the chances of the sperm getting into the cervix. There are myths that raising legs in the air will help, but doctors say that is not true.
  • Relax: Stress can interfere with ovulation. So, the more a woman is stressed, the harder it will be to conceive. Harvard Medical School conducted a study of 184 women experiencing fertility problems. More than half of those who completed a course on relaxation training become pregnant within one year, compared to 20 percent who did take the relaxation training.
  • Get moderate exercise: Too much exercise can affect ovulation. However, moderate exercise can help. Try to get exercise five times a week for at least 30 minutes.
  • Don’t smoke: Smoking can actually decrease fertility as it affects estrogen levels.
  • Follow a healthy diet: It is important to have a healthy diet and avoid alcohol. Speak with a doctor about taking prenatal vitamins when you are trying to conceive. This is good for both the mother and essential for a baby.

How to be Productive Everyday

How to be Productive Everyday.

Do you have the problem of not being productive enough every morning? Do you struggle with what tasks to do when you wake up? Are you often found going through each day, not being productive enough and not knowing how to get through the day? Have you been pondering how to get more than 24 hours daily? Then this post is for you.
We live in a time where there is a high presence and domination of motivational speakers who tell us to eat our frogs and be productive everyday of our lives. Sadly, these speakers only encourage us to eat the frog; oftentimes they leave out the mental technicalities on how to be productive every day. They do not tell us how we can do more in 24 hours the way they do. Perhaps because they themselves do not have a routine on productivity, they simply push all the buttons at once and hope one works. However, I have gathered for you, five tips on how to be productive every day.
Productivity for each day does not begin when you get to work. In fact, if you believe your day starts when you get to your office think again. To be productive, you must;
1. Have a planned routine before morning.
Having a productive day doesn’t happen by accident. Just like pregnancy, it is a product of some effort that yields to a production. If you want to have a great day tomorrow, plan for it yesterday. It is important that you make a list of things you need to do the next day, and how you wish to execute them. This will help you manage your time, and execute more tasks instead of rushing into everything at once.
2. Go to bed early, rise to work early.
While this might be an obvious once, a great percentage of us struggle with good sleeping patterns. We are in a generation where people worship insomnia and attempt to beat insomniac records. This is going to reduce your mental capabilities daily. When you get back from work, or when you return from a party during the weekend, make plans for the following day, get a shower, and sleep. Sleeping is a part of productivity. You do more when you sleep more because your brain becomes sharper with good sleep.
3. Eat the big frogs first.
When you make plans for a day, always attempt to do the most difficult, or biggest tasks first. Successfully completing a big task early in the day will pump your productivity adrenaline. Knowing that you have done a task that could be a stumbling block will give you the motivation to handle the smaller ones. Also, our attention span, energy, and mental state reduce as time goes during the day. Using your early mental state to achieve one big task will boost the morale of your activities towards productivity later in the day.
4. Prepare yourself mentally.
This is one of the reasons you need to plan early. Try to imagine what problems you are most likely going to face during the day. Picture how to tackle those problems. Be mentally ready for the tasks before they come. This will make you do better with being productive daily.
5. Watch what you eat and drink a lot of water.
Endeavour to take light food, and drink a lot of water if you plan on doing a lot of mental work. Do not eat too much if you want to do so much. Eating too much kills you mentally and makes you only want to sleep. Drink a lot of water instead. If you can watch what you eat, you can do more daily for yourself.
These five steps will help you on becoming more productive each day. However you must also make conscious mental and physical effort to accommodate the changes these five steps on how to be productive will bring to your activities. As the millenniums would say it, “stay woke!”

5 Food You Should Never Eat After Clocking 25 (Don’t Even Try Number 3)

Food they say is good, but there are some food we shouldn’t eat after reaching the age of 25.
Some of these food(s) are what we are going to be talking about and you all should take note of this:
1. Yogurt:
I know this will shock you! Like out of all the food in the world, yogurt? Yes! This is the danger.
People always keep yogurt in the fridge to preserve it, but the bad part is that about 40 grams of sugar is present in every yogurt cup.
This means that if you take just one cup of yogurt, you just consumed 40 grams of sugar.f
The human body is designed to take just 38 grams of sugar for men and 25 grams for women. Imagine taking 2 cups of yogurt.
2. Local Fish Or Farmed Fish:
In Nigeria, up to 70% of the fish you’ll find at your local market is farmed fish. But you really want to avoid it because farmed/local fish are so overcrowded that they eat each other’s feces.
If you pass through third main land bridge everyday, you will see people defecating directly into the water and this water is home to 60% of all the fishes.
Just imagine eating a fish that had consumed another person’s feces. Well, when next you go to the market, ask how recently the fish was caught.
3. White Bread:
While growing up, eating white bread might have been good for us.
But reverse is the case for a 25 year old person. For grown ups, White bread is essentially nutritionally void.
The bleached white flour spikes your blood sugar and features almost none of the vitamins and minerals present in whole wheat.
So, you see why white bread isn’t good for you at the age of 25.
4. Popcorn With Butter:
You heard right! Yes, popcorn with butter is one of the food we should stop to consume as we clock 25 years.
The butter used to microwave popcorn adequately contains trans fats which negatively affects the memory of the growing human body. The butter destroy cells and encourages inflammation in the brain.
5. Fruit Juice:
Last on the list is Fruit Juice. Most of the fruit juice are chemically moderated by the manufacturing company.
This tells you that lots of chemicals will be added to the fruit juice during production and this on the long run damages one’s health.
They are also often pasteurized, which means that the juice is exposed to heat at a point there by killing some nutrients needed by your body.
