The latest information reaching us from The Federal Polytechnic , (Edepoly) is that the institution has released the second semester for the 2018/ academic session. Students can now checked their results online and print it out through the SIM app.

The Federal polytechnic Ede result of the 2nd semester is available now online. Follow the steps below to check your result.

How to check Federal Poly Ede 2nd semester result

Step 1: Open the SIMs app installed on your smart phone

Step 2: When the page loads up as show above, you will be required to enter your Matriculation Number and Password in the spaces provided

Step 3: After entered the details, Click on the “Login” tab to land on your profile dashboard.

Step 4: Click on Results Checker navigation below screen

Step 5: Click on Semester Result show button

Step 6: Choose second semester on the display page

Step 7: Finally clicked Proceed button and the PDF result file will be download immediately on your device.

Any complaints on the result should be directed to specific Head of Department (HODs) not later than two(2) weeks after the release of results.

Katsina reopens schools Oct 5 — Commissioner




The Katsina State Government has fixed October 5 , 2020 , for the reopening of public and private primary and secondary schools in the state .
The state Commissioner of Education , Badamasi Lawal , made the announcement on Tuesday in Katsina.
The commissioner said revision classes for second term will start from October 5 through October 16 while for the second term would be conducted from October 19 to October 23 .
Lawal added that the students would resume for third term , which will run from October 26 , 2020 , to January 24 , 2021 , while examinations for the third term would begin on January 25 to end on February 5, 2021 .

He said students and teachers must wear face masks on the school premises , observe social distancing and other COVID – 19 protocols .
He added that the government would fumigate all schools and provide handwashing facilities and thermometers for measuring the temperature of students and teachersThe commissioner further added that the schools would operate in phased manner , with primary one to three attending classes between 7: 30 a. m . , and 12 : 30 .p . m , while primary four to six , would resume from 12 : 30 p . m . to 5 : 30 p . m .
Lawal explained that that day and boarding secondary schools would operate from 7 : 30 a. m to 12 : 30 p .m for the junior section , while the senior section would operate from 12 : 30 p .m . to 5 : 30 p . m .

Ekiti State gets new University




Ekiti State gets new University as the state’s House of Assembly on Tuesday passed the bill for the upgrading of the State College of Education to University of Education, Science and Technology.
The bill was passed through unanimous resolution at Tuesday’s plenary in Ado-Ekiti presided over by the Speaker, Mr Funminiyi Afuye.
The passage of the bill followed the submission of the report of the House Committee on Education, Science and Technology headed by Mrs Kemi Balogun.
According to the report, read by Balogun, the Transitional Provision of Section 38 would give room the existing students of the College of Education lkere-Ekiti after the effective date of this Law to complete their course of study as stipulated
The report after been ratified by the Committee of the Whole House was read by the Clerk of the House, Mr Tola Esan and unanimously passed.
The Executive bill was titled, “A Bill for a Law to provide for the Establishment, Incorporation, Constitution, Powers and Functions of the University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti and Other Matters Therewith.”

In an interview with newsmen shortly after plenary, the duo of the Speaker, Mr Funminiyi Afuye and Mr Tunde Idowu, Ikere Constituency, 2, APC thanked Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi and members for the initiative and speedy passage of the bill.
Afuye and Idowu, who hails from Ikere-Ekiti, in Ikere Local Government Area, assured that the new University of Education, Science and Technology would bring about social and economic development to Ikere-Ekiti, the state, Nigeria and the world at large.
Earlier at Tuesday’s plenary, Under Matter of Urgent Public Importance, Chief Gboyega Aribisogan, Ikole Constituency 1, APC called the attention of the House to the gradual extinction of the Yoruba Language.
He called the House to as a matter of advocacy and legislation, safe the Yoruba Language, which he described as the identity of Western Nigeria.
Also, Mr Adeyemi Ajibade, Moba Constituency 1, APC Under Matter of Urgent Public Importance, drew the attention of the House to non -availability of telecommunications network in Osun-Ekiti.
Ajibade called on the State Government to help prevail on the telecommunications network providers to extend their services to the community of over 30 thousand dwellers so that the people can access meaningful economic development.
The Assembly later adjourned plenary to Monday, Oct.,5.
