A Federal High Court in on Wednesday adjourned until Thursday for the continuation of trial of popular musician, Azeez Fashola a.k.a. , who is facing fraud and theft charges.

The case was adjourned following a letter by defence counsel, Mr Olalejan Ojo (SAN), who was not available.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) preferred an 11-count charge against the musician, NAN reports.

The charges border on conspiracy, possession of counterfeit credit cards and fraud.

One Yad Isril, still at large, was charged alongside the musician.

Fashola, who sang the popular song: “Am I a ?”, was arraigned on May 20 before Justice Nicholas Oweibo, but he pleaded not guilty.

The court granted him bail in the sum of N2 million with two sureties in like sum.

According to the EFCC, he committed the offences on different dates between Nov. 26, 2018 and Dec.11, 2018, as well as May 10, .

The commission alleged that Fashola and his accomplices conspired to use different Access Bank ATM cards to defraud their victims.

It alleged that the defendant used Access Bank credit card number 5264711020433662, issued to another person, in a bid to obtain fraudulent financial gains.

The EFCC also said that he possessed counterfeit credit cards belonging to different people, with intent to defraud which amounted to theft.

The alleged offences contravene the provisions of Sections 1 23 (1) (b), 27 (1) and 33(9) of Cyber Crime (Prohibition) Prevention Act, 2015.a

BBNaija 2020: We look forward to seeing you pay your tax – Lagos govt tells Laycon

The state Internal Revenue Service, LIRS, has urged Olamilekan Agbeleshe, popularly known ‘Laycon’ who just emerged as the winner of the 2020 edition of the Big Brother Nigeria reality Tv show, to be prepared to pay his tax in 2021.

LIRS made this known in a tweet via its Official Twitter account on Monday, while congratulating the reality show winner on his victory.

“Congratulations Laycon, winner of BBNaija Lockdown edition.

“More wins!! We look forward to seeing you in Y2021 as you pay your tax,”the tweet read.

Recall that Laycon emerged the winner of the 2020 edition of the Big Brother Naija reality show on Sunday, after 71 days of participating in the show.

He got 60 per cent of the total votes cast by viewers to beat fellow housemate, Dorathy Bachor, who got 21.65 per cent of the votes.

BBNaija 2020: Erica very, very happy for Laycon

Big Brother Naija housemate, Erica, has said she is happy about Laycon winning this year’s edition of the show.
Laycon was crowned the winner, ahead of Dorathy, Nengi, Neo and Vee on Sunday.
He got 60 percent of the votes ahead of Dorathy who got 21.85 percent of the total votes recorded in the final week.
He walks away with N30m cash prize and other gifts totalling N85m.
In an interview with Rhythm FM on Monday morning, Erica was asked by Toke Makinwa how she felt about Laycon emerging the winner.

“I am very, very happy for Laycon, because he wanted this.
“We all wanted this. I am happy for him and I wish him the best,” she replied.
When asked if she will ever be friends with Laycon, Erica replied: “I just move to people according to their energy. Time will tell.”
Erica was disqualified from the reality show, after an intense fight with Laycon.
