The outbreak of Corona virus in China is beginning to affect trade in Nigeria negatively as prices of some products from China have begun to soar .
Checks by our correspondent in Abuja revealed that mostly affected are phones produced in China .
According to findings , Chinese mobile manufacturers are currently dominating the Nigerian mobile market .
It was gathered that within the last three weeks , the rate at which products were imported from China had reduced drastically .
It was learnt that many of the manufacturing companies that produced these products in China had shut down operations due to the outbreak of the coronavirus .
This was aimed at reducing the spread of the disease .
One of the phone dealers in Abuja who gave his name as Samuel Nnamdi told our correspondent that he has been out of stock of infinix and other brands of phones in the last two weeks .
He said most of his business partners who had travelled to China to observe their new year and had wanted to use the opportunity to bring in products had not been able to do so due to the outbreak of the coronavirus .
The development, according to him , had resulted in a supply gap of some of the popular Chinese phone brands such as Infinix , Tecno , and Gionee.
He also said some of the new entrants in the market such as Oppo , Xiaomi , and Vivo were beginning to experience supply gaps .
He said for instance within the last one month, the prices of phones produced in China had increased by an average of 15 per cent.
Checks by our correspondent revealed that about a month ago , a unit of Infinix Hot 8 phone sold for N 36 ,000 in Abuja .
However , the scarcity of the product has forced the price up by about 16 . 7 per cent to N42 ,000 .
Similarly , the price of a unit of Tecno Spark 4 has risen from N34 ,000 to N 40 ,000 while that of Samsung A51 has moved up from N100 ,000 to N 110 ,000 .
Confirming the development, the President , National Association of Nigerian Traders , Ken Ukaoha , said the coronavirus had seriously affected trade between Nigeria and China as well as the global community .
He said , “The coronavirus has seriously affected trade between Nigeria and China and the rest of the global community .
“Now , as it is, what we are running into is that there will be a trade shortage across the world.
“Trade between Nigeria and China is very strategic because over 87 per cent of goods imported into Nigeria are from China and the entire Asian Tiger .
“Now you can see that coronavirus has affected China and places like South Korea as well and then people are no longer going to those places .
“If you look at the transportation sector now , you discover a dwindling of passengers going into China . So , the virus is negative having an impact both on trade , transport and tourism over there .”
He also said the manufacturing sector would feel the negative impact as raw materials from China were needed in Nigeria to produce finished goods .

I was just searching for this information for a while. After six hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your website. I wonder what’s the lack of Google strategy that do not rank this type of informative websites in top of the list. Normally the top sites are full of garbage.

Though the platform enables all that meet up their requirements to enroll, but it can’t accommodate all the applicants even though they are qualified as over millions of applicants apply every in every application process. Hence, the need for laid down principle of selection that is based on some preferences which I would be sharing in this article but before then let’s talk about the program to sensitize those who still don’t know much about it.

The Npower programming is a Federal Government program to help empowered youths both graduates and non graduates for a period with payment of the beneficiary within the stipulated period. Below are images that would guide you in understanding the categories you are eligible to apply for.

Now that you must have gone through the categories and ready to apply for it, you need to know this so, you would have a greater chance of been shortlisted and confirmed.

I was a beneficiary of the Batch B, I wasn’t really interested in the program because I believed they have already picked who they want, then I was almost rounding up my National Service. My colleagues were all applying but I decided to just let, me do so to avoid had I know. But while I was applying I figured this secrets out and decided to apply them. Luckily my secret worked for not just me but for those I shared it with, and I was shortlisted did my clearance and I have been enjoying it. I was able to save and establish a business that could bring cashflow.

What are my secrets?

Firstly,

— In every application that is open to the 36 states there be always allocation to every states, the number of beneficiary that must be allocated to the state.

— There is an allocation (number of beneficiary) to the local government within the states.

— There is an allocation to the number of beneficiary to the different communities.

Secondly, there is always preference to the indigenes of the states, local government and communities.

Therefore, if you want to get shortlisted and confirmed choose your state as state of residence, your local government as local government of residence, and lastly, your address should be your family house in the community.

Why should you use your family address in your community?

Many applicants are in the city hence the population of applicants from there would be much thereby making it difficult for you to be chosen but many people in your community may be few because most of them are applying with there address in the city leaving the allocated spaces in the community to be less competed for.

Also, for those choosing Nteach, many schools in the villages lack teacher hence apply from an address in the community is a sure advantage as preference are given to them.

During deployment, they deploy you to the closest place around your address.

So the secret is your address of residence.
