The shutdown of the Federal Polytechnic Ede(FPE) has clocked 4 days, but there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight as students vow to continue the protest and keep the gate shut.

The students have vowed to continue with the protests and to spread their message on campus, as they have kept the polytechnic locked down since Tuesday.

The Student Union Government of the Federal Polytechnic Ede made it known to NAIJASURF that the gates will remain closed until students demands are met. Which they implore the students not to vacate the school premises in the notice released this morning duly signed by the union President and the PRO

They charge the management and lecturers again for toying with their academic endeavour, which they insist that students are not supposed to be concerned and demand the resumption of academic activities as a matter of urgency.

Also, They condemned the memo released by the management informing the students to vacate the hostel, they termed the circular as a barbaric and non chalant attitude.

The Students Union Government also made the students understand that they are the landlords of the school while the lecturers and management are tenants, and no tenants have the power to chase the landlord out of school

*PRESS RELEASE*
_Fri, 6th of November, 2020_

*DAY 4: SO FAR OUR COMMON ENEMIES ARE NOT READY TO COOPERATE, THE GATES REMAIN LOCKED AND OUR STRUGGLE CONTINUES*

*No student should vacate the campus!*

_Winners never quit, quitters never wins_

We bring revolutionary greetings from the castle of Aluta!

There is no doubt, today marks the fourth day of our peaceful demonstration on campus of Federal Polytechnic Ede Osun State.

This is simply because the Management and lecturers of the school have chosen to toy with our academic endeavors. In lieu of that, the gates of the institution shall remained locked until our demands are met.

We are not concerned with the fracas between the Management and lecturers, what we want is that students should resume lectures as a matter of emergency.

It is no more a news that our demonstration has caught national attention and national and state stakeholders/dignitaries are showing interest, however, we will not stop our demonstrations until the matter between the management and lecturers are resolved.

We implore students to show solidarity and speak via every active means, because we cannot fold our arms watching these people joke with our academic endeavors.

We condemn, as usual these barbaric non chalant attitudes of the management and lecturers and we will never relent until our classes are reopened and lectures commenced.

No students should vacate the school as instructed in the barbaric memo recently released by the school registrar. Hostel students are charged to stay calm in their respective hostels as no one dares send you out packing unjustly.

The students are the landlords of the school. The management and lecturers are tenants. No tenants have any capacity to chase the landlord from the house. Therefore the memo that we should vacate the school is zero, null and void.

We shall continue to demonstrate everyday until the management and lecturers cease their selfish battles.
