Osun student dies in fatal accident

A student of Ataoja School of Science in Osogbo, Aisha Akinola Damilola lost her life in a fatal accident that occurred on Monday.

 

Akinola, a SSS 3 student of the public school in Osogbo, was according to a family source, Lateef Olaide died in an ambulance while rushing to the hospital.

 

The accident, which claimed the life of the student involved three vehicles that happened around 5:56 pm under the November 27 interchange bridge after the deceased school.

 

 

An eyewitness, Marry Adeloye, who spoke with this DAILY POST, said that an ash colour Toyota Corolla with registration number MUS571GB, which was coming from Sekona route collided with a Volkswagen with registration number LEM478TK and a Bajaj motorcycle; consequently crushed the students waiting for the bus under the bridge.

 

The Sector Public Education Officer for Osun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Agnes Ogungbemi said the accident was probably caused by over-speeding.

 

Agnes in a signal made available to DAILY POST added that three persons who were injured were conveyed to Osun State Teaching hospital Osogbo while the vehicles involved were towed to Ataoja Divisional Police Station, Osogbo.

 

Meanwhile, the student died in an ambulance while taken to hospital and was buried on Monday.
